WELCOME
TO OUR CHURCH
Our
Lurgan congregation started with services in Clare
Orange Hall in February 1967. There had been some
interest in the Free Presbyterian witness among
Lurgan folk for some time prior to its beginning.
As early as the summer of 1961 Fred Baird, who later
became a foundation member and an elder in Lurgan,
spoke of the potential for a Free Presbyterian work
in this area.

OUR MINISTER
Rev David Creane was born
in the Republic of Ireland near the town of Castleblaney.
He was saved in his home at the age of fourteen
While he attended the Theological
Hall Rev Creane served in the John Knox Memorial
church as a student then as a Minister. In 1978
he then took up the call to the Lurgan Congregation.
